What age can my puppy start daycare?

We accept puppies once they are sufficiently vaccinated to be around other fully vaccinated dogs. This is when your vet says they can walk on the footpath but are not yet ready for the grass.

When can my puppy have their first groom?

We can slowly introduce them to grooming once they have had their second vaccination.. Select the Puppy Tidy option, and when you come in, we’ll discuss what to expect. We’re so glad you want to start them on this journey early and in a positive way!

What do I need to bring for my dog’s daycare visit?

On your first visit to Darlo Dogs you will have completed the online registrations where you where vaccination certificates can be uploaded. Of course we also accept emails or photos of this document as well. Other than that, you won’t need to bring anything else for your first visit.

How do I know if my dog will enjoy daycare?

We understand that not all dogs are suited to dog daycare. We require all dogs to undergo a 3-hour trial and a temperament test to ensure they enjoy being around other dogs and are suited to doggy daycare.

What happens during doggy daycare?

Depending on the dogs in daycare that day, your dog will join a group with a similar energy. This may change multiple times. There will be active and social play, stimulating games, wee walks, time to rest and chill.

Is doggy daycare good for dogs with separation anxiety?

All dogs undergo a temperament test when they first arrive to look for signs that your dog may be too anxious in doggy daycare. The last thing we want is for the experience to be too traumatic for your dog and leave them with long-lasting issues. Some dogs and puppies may take more than one visit to feel comfortable. Doggy daycare isn’t always the answer for dogs with separation anxiety but we’re happy to be part of your solution and will work closely with your trainer.

Yes. We are centrally located in Darlinghurst, with convenient parking right at our doorstep on William Street. Alternatively in Premier Lane behind us with stairs conveniently lead to the front door.
